The All New 2014 Kia Forte Sedan to be Unveiled At the Los Angeles Auto Show

The attractively styled and designed 2014 Forte sedan is all set for its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show for the U.S. and Canadian market. The new K3 saloon was initially launched in Korea in September end. Other countries like Brazil and Australia will also get the same model under the name plate Cerato from the beginning of next year. The similarities in the all-new 2014 Kia Forte when compared to other recent additions to the Kia lineup is quite palpable.

The new Forte imbibes the Kia’s aggressive character line design patterns and bolder winged grille. Besides this the lower valence shows the likeness along with the same exaggerated openings for fog lights. The differences in between the Forte, the K3 and the Cerato are exhibited in its interior, equipment packages, exterior décor, and trims apart from the available powertrains. The 2014 Forte will be longer, lower and wider compared to the outgoing model, which means it will be endowed with more space in the interior.

The 2014 Forte will measure 179.5 inches (4,560 mm) long, it will feature a width of 70.1 inches (1,780 mm), and will be 56.5 inches (1,435 mm) tall which will make it 1.2 inches (30 mm) longer, 0.2 inches (5mm) wider and 1 inch (25mm) lower compared to the outgoing model. The wheelbase is also increased by around 2 inches (51mm) to 106.3 inches (2,700mm). A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is featured in the current Forte which delivers a fuel economy  as high as 27/36 mpg city/highway. A drivetrain with similar specifications is expected with a feature of 148-horsepower 1.8-liter ‘Nu’ four-cylinder engine whilst overseas markets will also gain from a 126-horsepower 1.6-liter diesel.
